New project in focus: Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Europe
The STYLE (Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Europe) project under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission started its work at the kick-off meeting
held in Brighton between the 31st of March and the 2nd of April 2014. The project website and the twitter account can be followed at: http://www.style-research.eu/
TARKI Social Research Institute is a main partner of the consortium. One of the main tasks for TARKI represents the leadership (jointly with the University of Turin) for WP8 FAMILY (Family and Cultural Drivers of Youth Unemployment and Adulthood Transitions). The research plans for this work package were presented at the meeting by Andras Gabos (TARKI) and Tiziana Nazio (University of Turin). TARKI also contributes to WP9 VOICES (Vulnerable Voices and Cultural Barriers: Attitudes and Aspirations). On behalf of TARKI, Andras Gabos (lead contact person), Prof. Endre Sik, Marton Medgyesi (senior researchers) and Katalin Kapolnai (administrative support) are members of the TARKI team. As part of the TARKI staff, Sara Ayllon Gatnau (assistant professor at the University of Girona) and Elena Mariani (PhD student at LSE) will also contribute to the work package on family drivers.
STYLE aims to examine the obstacles and opportunities affecting youth employment in Europe. The project includes 25 research partners, an international advisory network and local advisory boards of employers, unions, policy makers and NGOs from over 20 European countries.
